Analysis
The above survey was conducted among a varied population of 83 people, of both working-class persons and students, so results could apply loosely to the upper-aged sector of most given populations(i.e. Not minors).

It can be seen that the majority of the surveyed population do not know what IS is.Although majority (43.90%) thought that IS is collection/ storage of information, it is still smaller than the rest of the surveyed population (56.10%) which said that IS is either innovative or computer based technologies.
Most people currently/ would use information systems at the workplace (73.17%), whereas the rest (26.83%) currently/would use it either at home or school.
Among the surveyed audience, most (42.68%) have not heard of any of the IS terms (MSS, DSS, ERP). Of those who have heard of IS(58.32%), most have heard most frequently about ERP (26.83%). This shows that most people have not used IS technologies/ applications at home and/or in business.
43.90% of the surveyed population rated the cost of IS implementation at 3/5. Among the other 56.1%, The majority (48.78%) lies above 3/5, which shows that most people are under the impression that IS systems are more expensive than cheap to implement.
Most of the population surveyed (75.61%) viewed the development of IS as drastic in the past 10 years, as opposed to slightly (2.44% of population) and marginally (21.95%)
In conclusion, it is evident that majority of the surveyed population do not fully understand what IS is, and what it entails. The majority though, is not hugely the majority, as it opposes a very similar value which is the minority of the population. This shows that the population is not entirely clueless, but education on the topic of IS and implementation thereof could be improved.
